The Octava

Eight pillars. Twelve weeks each. One man, properly formed.

The Octava is the curriculum of Lion.College — eight thematic pillars, walked sequentially or (after the first) in parallel. Completing all eight elevates an Apprentice to Pride Member, with the third ring. Most men take two to four years to walk the full Octava.

Pillar I is published in full. Pillars II–VIII are outlined in The 888; their full curricula are drafted by the founder and the founding Masters as the cohorts approach them, so that each pillar carries the lived weight of the men who walked it first.

A note on the order

Pillar I — Lion Identity — is foundational. Every Apprentice walks it first. After Pillar I, most men walk II then III, but the pillars after the second are not strictly sequential: a man may take III and V together, or VII before V. The mentor and the council guide the order based on what the man is carrying that year. The Octava is a topology, not a queue.
