The terms on which Lion.College makes its website, application form, and content available. Plain language. Australian law. Reviewed annually.


Who you are agreeing with

By using the lion.college website or any of its services (including the application form), you are entering an agreement with Riverun Pty Ltd (ACN 663 364 154), Melbourne, Australia, trading as Lion.College.

If you are an Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master, this is not your full members' agreement — your Compact and the Constitution govern that relationship. These Terms cover anyone who uses the public site.

The application form

By submitting an application via /apply, you confirm that:


Canon content

Material published as part of the canon (THE 888, the Constitution, the Code, the Pillars, the Path, etc.) is © Riverun Pty Ltd and the individual authors.

Personal use: You may read, print, and share the canon freely for personal use, including with your own friends and family.

Educational use: Teachers, ministers, and small-group leaders may quote and reference the canon with attribution. We are happy to support this; if you are doing it, write to us.

Commercial use: Reproducing substantial portions of the canon (e.g., printing a book of selections, republishing a curriculum, training a paid model on the corpus) requires a licence from us. Email liam@lionmind.zone to discuss.

Attribution: A standard attribution looks like: "From Pillar I of the Octava, Lion.College (lion.college/pillar/i)". Specific authors are attributed where named.


Members' content and intellectual property

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Riverun Pty Ltd and its founders, employees, and directors are not liable for:

This does not exclude or limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, nor any other law that cannot be excluded.


Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site if you violate these Terms. For members, suspension or termination of membership follows the Constitution (Article VII) and the Code of Conduct, not these Terms — those processes have due process and appeal rights.

For non-members: we may block IP addresses, accounts, or specific applicants who violate these Terms, particularly for harassment or fraudulent applications. We will not block based on disagreement, criticism, or honest difference of view.


Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

Before commencing any legal action, we both agree to attempt good-faith resolution by direct correspondence for at least thirty days. Mediation through a mutually agreed mediator is encouraged before litigation.

For members, the Standards Process is the first-recourse pathway for matters within the guild. Civil-law action is the last recourse, not the first.
